Brief Description of Role:

Kennedys are looking for a solicitor to join our liability team in the Edinburgh office headed up by Rory Jackson.

Team Information:

The liability team in Kennedys Scotland consists of 1 partner, 1 Senior Associate, 5 fee earners and support staff.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Essential:

Scottish Qualified Solicitor

Strong Academics (2.1 or higher degree) or equivalent.

Experience: 

(Type, length, quality, background)

Essential:

2-3 years’ defendant personal injury experience*

Desirable:

Knowledge of the procedures in the Court of Session and Sheriff Courts.

Some Sheriff Court advocacy experience.

Experience of instructing Counsel and attending Consultations.

To have had previous client contact and attendance at business development events.

Experience of arbitration and negotiation.
