East Lothian Council seeks a Licensing Officer to join a team which deals with all aspects of Licensing and Landlord Registration. The successful candidate will contribute to the Licensing function by way of supporting the Licensing Board and the Licensing Sub-Committee, as well as processing applications for a variety of licenses, dealing with licensing-related queries and contributing to the development of processes and policy. The Licensing Team also provides support to the Team Leader in his capacity as the Council’s contact for Landlord Registration.

Job Details

Contribute to the work of the Licensing team by processing applications, providing advice and guidance to the public in relation to Licensing matters. Organise the agenda and business for the Licensing Board and the Licensing Subcommittee.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Educated to HNC/SVQ Level 3 or equivalanet and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience

This post involves accessing the public services network, therefore the preferred candidate will be subject to the Baseline Personnel Security Standards (BPSS). The preferred candidate will be subject to a Basic Disclosure provided by Disclosure Scotland prior to a formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
