Job Overview
Responsible for leading the Human Resources efforts for UK Manufacturing and Service Centers; serving as the business partner to the site leaders; coaching/counseling the site leadership team in pursuit of desired site performance; developing human capital strategies for the site.

Job Responsibilities

  • HR Business Partner - Effectively partners with the site leaders and site management team to facilitate and execute on strategic decisions; providing guidance, advice and assistance to leadership and supervisory staff on people and business issues, initiatives, and process improvements, identify training and development needs of associates
  • Employee Relationships - Facilitate communication between employees and Site Management, serving as the primary contact for employees seeking advice and development coaching, assistance with policy interpretation, coping with change, etc. to maintain good working relationships and build credibility with site employees
  • Human Resources Leadership - Responsible for leading site HR staff in the efficient delivery of HR initiatives aligned with Corporate Strategy including but not limited to staffing, training & professional development, performance management process, compensation & benefit administration, succession planning, employee relations and employment practices
  • Achievement of Site & HR Metrics - Prescribing/taking action to improve results to insure value creation for the company
  • Compliance - Keeps up to the date on trends and legal developments, maintain compliance with laws
  • Participate in meetings/conference calls with other Plexus Human Resources Managers and Corporate Human Resources staff to discuss initiatives, share best practices, identify concerns/systemic implications of changes in an effort to reach agreement on how to fulfill strategic agenda
  • Sets expectations and objectives for direct reports; evaluates performance, provides candid feedback and coaching to develop staff capabilities; serves as an example to the site for how to develop successors (where applicable)

Additional Responsibilities

  • Organizes project plans and completes initiatives on time, within cost parameters/forecast, and at or above desired quality levels as assigned by local management or Corporate HR
  • Assists the site in the development of the quarterly/annual forecast relative to HR inputs
  • Participates on HR initiatives in support of strategic imperatives as needed
  • Leads site organizational design reviews and succession planning initiatives holding site leadership team accountable for the development of successors/future leaders
  • Investigates and responds to complaints received relative to allegations involving the site
  • May also include administration of various (site specific) employee services (i.e. employee transportation, cafeteria, payroll process/maintenance, etc.)
  • Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated <10%)
  • Additional duties as assigned by management

Skills & Abilities

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRMS tools (Workday a plus)
  • Highly adaptive, change management skills
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and demanding schedules in a professional, level-headed way
  • Must possess high level, organizational design and troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Must be comfortable and fluent in presenting, facilitating and communicating to diverse groups of people
  • Must be self-motivated; able to excel with both individual and group projects

Education & Experience

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required for this position. A degree in in Human Resources or Business Management, or an MBA is preferred
  • Experience of 5 years is required for this position, assuming education requirements are met
  • Equivalent Electronic Manufacturing Services industry experience of 2 or more years is highly desirable
