Housing Assistant

Almond Housing Association is a registered Scottish Charity based in Livingston, working with our people to serve our customers throughout the West Lothian region.

We are currently seeking an individual who is customer focussed and who has good attention to detail to join our team as a Housing Assistant.

Key aspects of the role will include:

  • dealing with and responding to customer enquiries / mail merge tasks / direct debit payments / electronic card payments / complaints database / telephone enquiries
  • processing repair reports and works orders, tenant requests for alterations
  • provision of advice to tenant applicants on all aspects of the Association’s Allocations and Mutual Exchange Policy
  • Reception duties as required / advice to tenants on all matters relating to their tenancy / assist with Universal Credit applications and with DWP online applications
  • provide office based support to all Housing Officers
  • assist with rent arrears management, and deal with records relating to legal actions, sisted cases and decrees granted
  • assist with Estate Management, diarise visits, co-ordinate reporting information, raise inspect lines for repairs, report back to contractor
  • assist the Housing Support Manager and the Housing Manager with surveys on Anti-Social Behaviour cases and other service areas as appropriate, and with checking of invoice
  • assist with tenant surveys / arrange existing tenant visits / obtain tenant information to ensure profiling is up to date and accurate
  • Sustainability Report maintenance
  • adhoc support to our Asset Management team
