Bandrum Nursing Home, one of the biggest homes in Scotland, provides specialist adult care and care for the elderly with 24 hour full time nursing care in our beautiful purpose built home, set in 19 acres of land. With 83 beds over two homes in the same complex we have 6 units providing care for residents with a range of support needs.

We currently have an opening for a Senior Carer to join the team at Bandrum.  Working under the direction of the General Manager, the Senior Carer will support their Charge Nurse/Nurse in Charge by undertaking various tasks and checks in order to ensure high standards of care are delivered.

The role will include all Care assistant duties and be expanded to include:

  • Supporting the Nurse in Charge during duty

  • Acting as a role model to all staff in the Unit

  • Promote best practice

  • Promoting team working on the unit

  • Carrying out orientation

  • Allocating tasks and ensuring they are carried out to a high standard.

You should have a passion for caring and be ready to wholly adopt a person centered approach; showing compassion and a desire to make a difference. In addition you should possess leadership qualities and be willing to take ownership for the delivery of high quality care.

Our Senior Care Assistants must hold a minimum of NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards this. PVG checks will be required for the post and you should have a legal right to work in the UK.
