This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading International legal firm based in beautifully presented offices in Glasgow City Centre. Joining a newly created Conflict and Risk Team supporting the Global Head of Conflicts and Senior Conflicts Lawyer in ensuring effective compliance controls are in place particularly those involving the avoidance of conflicts of interest and protection of confidential information

Some of what you'll do;

• Conflict of Interest Checking Process.
• Information Barrier and Document Security Processes.
• Client Care and Engagement Terms.
• Matter management, including matter opening and assessing compliance with Scottish and UK Law Society rules, Code and guidance.
• Handles conflicts of interest matters and high volume conflict searches.
• Involved in leading commercial clearances.
• Reviews and adheres to internal compliance policies and procedures.
• Candidate Requirements:
• Conduct money laundering checks to ensure firm complies with legal obligations
• Carry out business intelligence searches
• Check and verify information
• Deal with enquiries from fee earners
• Process new client information
• Update client details

The ideal candidate will already have experience in a Compliance role perhaps from a Financial Services, Banking or legal background. Prior experience analysing and resolving conflicts of interest and managing confidential information issues would be desirable

You will have excellent written communication skills, good time management skills and a willingness to learn and adapt.
