Meraki Talent are currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a well-established Legal Firm based in Edinburgh City Centre. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic forward thinking company who in return offer a very competitive salary & benefits package. Supporting a busy residential conveyancing department this role is most suited to a Legal Secretary candidate with proven residential conveyancing experience. Only candidates who match the full criteria will be considered. Please note this is a full time role, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Responsibilities of the Legal Secretary:

  • Audio / copy typing / digital dictation of all documentation
  • Document production
  • Conducting mail mergers
  • Proof reading and formatting of all documents
  • Provide support to other business areas when required
  • Collation of papers and file management
  • Drafting of standard letters
  • Drafting of court documents

Background of the Legal Secretary:

  • Previous solid Residential Conveyancing Legal Secretarial experience – essential
  • Fast and accurate copy/audio typing skills – essential
  • Digital dictation - essential
  • Excellent attention to detail – essential
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines – essential
  • Proficient in the use of all MS packages – essential
  • Excellent communication skills and can do attitude – essential
  • Ability to work on own initiative – essential
