Job description:

Core-Asset Consulting's client, a leading investment management house in Edinburgh has a brand-new opportunity available for someone experienced in Corporate Actions to lead their Investment Operations team on a permanent basis.

Candidates should have strong hands on corporate actions experience, and ideally experience in other areas of Asset Servicing/Operations, coupled with strong customer focus and proven ability to develop strong relationships with all stakeholders.

  • The ability to lead and deliver outcomes across multiple business teams.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications preferred in economics, accounting and/or finance
  • CISI Investment Operations Certificate

Core responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery to expected business outcomes in the area's of corporate actions, transaction processing, static data and client management.
  • Contribute to change pieces in relation to projects and fund implementation across Investment Operations.
  • Management of key customer relationships with the wider business and the various functions globally to ensure standards and ongoing requirements are understood, developed and delivered.
  • Ensure that the appropriate audit and risk outcomes are delivered for the functions that the team is responsible to deliver; and provide service and quality assurance reporting when required by line management.
  • Embed productivity and mature working habits amongst teams to ensure ongoing business improvement objectives are met and delivered; and ensure internal quality measures are in place and actively managed
  • Monitor the activities of your team members to confirm that they adhere to the organisation's governance policies and standards, and take corrective action when non-compliance is identified.
  • Lead your team in the day to day activities of an effective unit, identifying opportunities for improvement and leveraging efficiencies across the area; lead the team to meet agreed performance targets, continually seeking ways to improve efficiency without negatively impacting on service.
  • Provide leadership to the team to ensure all business needs are fulfilled and individuals are engaged in their work; manage and motivate direct reports in line with business objectives.
  • Consistently display behaviours that encourage productive working relationships and a strong performance culture.
