Bandrum Nursing Home, one of the biggest homes in Scotland, provides specialist adult care and care for the elderly with 24 hour full time nursing care in our beautiful purpose built home, set in 19 acres of land in Saline (nr Dunfermline). With 853 beds over two homes in the same complex we have 7 units providing care for residents with a range of support needs.

We currently have an opening for a Staff Nurse to join our bank of staff working across out different units, either nights or days.

Our nursing team is supported by on site management and at any one time there are six nurses onsite, plus Management ensuring that not only are our residents supported but that you have the full support of the team around you, if needed.  As we have such a large nursing team, this opens up the opportunity for our team to strive for promotion, ensuring their own career development and success.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with RGN, RMN, or RNMH qualifications to work either day or night shift.  Under direction of our General Manager, the Staff Nurse will support the units Charge Nurse to provide and supervise the delivery of high standards of nursing care to residents, in accordance with up to date evidence-based professional practice and Company policies. They will organize, manage and run their unit when on duty, including providing high quality care to their residents and managing their team of carers.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Taking responsibility for the well-being of our residents, including making sure their physical, emotional and social needs are met.
  • Leading, motivating and mentoring to your multidisciplinary team and delivering clinical guidance and training to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient running of the unit
  • Carrying out assessments and developing, implementing and evaluating person centred care plans for each of our residents
  • Monitoring work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies and legislation
  • Promoting residents` independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the very best standards of care and striving for continuous improvement

What we are looking for:

In addition to your qualifications and experience, you should have a passion for caring and be ready to wholly adopt a person centred approach; showing compassion and a desire to make a difference.  You should have leadership qualities and be willing to take ownership for the delivery of high quality care. It is essential that you have an active Pin and have a legal right to work in the UK.
