Workspace Planner  Glasgow, Edinburgh or Perth £27,133 - £35,837 depending on experience   SSE is a FTSE 35 company and is one of the largest and most diverse energy companies in the UK with around 10 million customer accounts across our various brands and over 20,000 staff.  Due to internal moves our facilities team have an exciting opportunity for a Workspace Planner to join them to manage the space planning and allocation services within our key FM Facilities taking overall accountability for space planning and accurate recording for our property estates across the  UK.   You will take responsibility for planning and implementing changes in the allocation of space, both on a small and large scale, and play a major part in the development of the facilities department policy on space norms, standards and allocation processes. You will ensure that all logistics are planned and executed in a professional manner and meet your customers requirements. By recording utilisation information from the OccupEye system you will recommend ways to increase utilisation giving due regard to agile working solutions, and alternate working arrangements. Alongside this you will manage and monitor space projects within budget and carry our regular space assessments and audits to check and ensure that workspace is managed effectively and meets the standards set out and agreed, and complies with the Company and FM policies.     The successful candidate will maintain up to date facilities drawings, office schemes and layouts, utility and supply routing drawings including boundaries and key interfaces, emergency exits and escape routes and maintaining close coordination with the site engineering centre. With a continuous improvement mind-set you will always be aiming to keep abreast of best practice within the sector and beyond and look for innovative ways of utilising and maximising the use of space.    To be effective in this role you will be energetic, team oriented, approachable, flexible and hands-on with a natural ability to motivate others in achieving set objectives. You will be educated to HND level of equivalent and will have a proven track record in facilities management with extensive experience of operational space allocation in a complex organisation. You will have in-depth knowledge of the emergency evacuation, fire, safety and regulatory requirements of space management in all buildings and associated support services. And will use this to ensure that our space planning complies with all relevant regulations and is subject to regular review.  You will have experience of analysing data and producing reports for decision making.
