MI Manager required for our clients’ who are a Global Audit, Tax & Advisory services organisation based in Glasgow.

Small Business Accounting is one of the Firm’s Strategic Growth Initiatives. The virtual, technology-enabled service launched just over three years ago and has rapidly grown to become a leader in this new market. Small Business Accounting has won many industry awards and has acquired a high volume of clients.

The objective is to support ambitious, growth-focused small business owners by allowing them more time to focus on growing their business, whilst the team focuses on ensuring compliance and financial obligations are taken care of.

Roles and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Process an Improvement Senior Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Support team who will ultimately take ownership of the daily, weekly and monthly MI production process.

It will be the responsibility of the MI Manager to work with Operations Support to ensure that designed reports are accurately populated and distributed in line with agreed deadlines.

The role will require the successful candidate to:

  • Liaise with the business to identify the MI needs of the business and design and build meaningful and insightful MI
  • Design and deliver solutions to consolidate disparate data sources
  • Utilise advanced excel skills and other reporting technologies e.g. QlikView, to develop and present meaningful and valuable conclusions to the business
  • Work with external software providers to ensure that available data from their technology is maximised to the benefit of the business
  • Experience of, or a desire to learn, Robotic Process Automation technology e.g. Uipath, Automation Anywhere would also be beneficial

Skills and Experience

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with senior members and the leadership of the business
  • Ability to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role
  • Although there are no direct reports in this role, there are team members who are keen to support and develop and therefore the ability to demonstrate experience of effectively developing others is essential
  • Strong experience MI best practices
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Reporting technologies e.g. QlikView
