A key member of the marketing team, the Digital Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for the execution of our digital strategy to improve brand awareness, increase online profile, grow engagement and generate leads.

Playing a key role in driving forward the firm’s digital activity with a commitment to innovative online marketing campaigns and evolving the firm’s social media activity in line with business objectives. They will also demonstrate a strong understanding of online brand development and reporting on digital campaigns and activity.

This is a busy role offering lots of variety and development so the successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to manage and prioritise a demanding workload and proactively deliver exceptional results. They will work closely with the other business development and marketing professionals, partners and lawyers to ensure the digital marketing activities of the firm are consistent and successfully co-ordinated.

This role will be based in Edinburgh. However, travel to Glasgow and Aberdeen will also be required.


·         Social media – work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager and Head of Comms to drive forward the firm’s social media activity by working across departments to align strategic objectives with digital activity. Collaborating with BD, Comms and digital agencies to develop ideas for content based on reporting, insights, commercial objectives and broader trends. Planning and content creation to amplify the firm’s reach and engagement. Reporting to the firm on social media campaigns.

·         Website development – project manage the, BFamily and BResourceFull Workbox website, handling the continual improvement of website content and SEO.

·         Blog management – setting up new bloggers, delivering training, handling blog queries and capturing good news stories to share with the firm while constantly looking for areas of improvement.

·         Digital training – providing training sessions for lawyers in all office locations to increase understanding of best practice for blogging, including SEO guidance, and social media use (LinkedIn and Twitter).

·         Video, vlogs and live streaming – managing the planning, scripting, filming and editing of short films for promotion on the firm’s YouTube channel. Liaising with our external agency to plan animations and film clips. Working with the team to establish opportunities that are best suited to live streaming and driving this technology forward.

·         App development – working with teams across the firm to build and deliver innovative client apps.

·         Online advertising – using Google adwords, and advertising on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook to broaden reach, encourage engagement and attract leads.

·         Management of external agencies – work to develop our relationship, ensuring idea generation, timely execution of projects and value for money.

·         Digital reporting – to the firm on blog, website and video stats using Google Analytics. Promotion of good news stories and upkeep of this information.

·         Idea generation – part of a team responsible for suggesting future projects to keep the firm ahead of the curve.


·         Graduate – digital, marketing or communications qualification preferred.

·         3 - 5 years' experience in a digital marketing environment.

·         Ability to work on their own initiative, proactive and committed to ‘getting the job done’.

·         Creativity and a strong attention to detail.

·         Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

·         Flexible approach with the ability to generate ideas and seek out opportunities to provide a more efficient and proactive service.

·         Professional image to internal clients and other external organisations at all times.


·         Experience of website content management systems, website strategy, branding and SEO.

·         Experience of growing social channels organically and through paid advertising.

·         Strong knowledge of Google Analytics and Wordpress.

·         Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.

·         Prioritisation, time management and organisational skills.

·         Confident in ability to manage multiple stakeholders.


·         Experience of film editing using iMovie / Adobe Premiere Pro / Final Cut Pro.
