This is an exciting time to be joining our People Team as we’ve grown a lot over the last three years. 

As Senior Employee Relations Advisor, you’ll support the Employee Relations Manager by delivering a great service of ER, reward and generalist people related advice to managers across the business. You’ll deal with some of our more challenging people cases and will coach the ER advisors to develop their skills and confidence.  You’ll play a key role in enhancing and updating all our people policies and processes in line with our employer brand aspirations and help drive the transition of people management being fully owned by managers across the business.

The top things you'll deliver:

Play your part in achieving our objectives in the ER programme plan. Support the business with pay & reward information from market research and bench marking.  Provide a great phone/face to face coaching and support service for managers and ER advisors across the business on all ER issues and people related advice. Build great “business partner” and “trusted advisor” relationships with managers across the business and support/coach them with all of their ER situations e.g. conflict resolution, grievance and disciplinary, motivation and influencing techniques and tools, reward advice. Support the talent team with the delivery of induction and Learning & Development activities across the business.

What we need from you;

  • Extensive experience of disciplinary/grievance and capability/performance processes.
  • You'll be up to date with employment law changes and external best practice in ER and Engagement processes.
  • Balance the needs of the business, the individual and the legal requirements to find the right solution on all people related matters.
  • You'll have the ability to diffuse conflict and support mediation and/or facilitating the right outcomes for those involved where formal process is a last resort.
