Java Team Lead - Java / Spring / REST / Web Services

Fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Developer to take control of a very important part of the business, supporting 3 critical applications. This company are growing at an incredible rate and offer everything they can to ensure staff are supported and have an excellent work-life balance.

Role responsibilities

  • 80% hands-on development, 20% mentoring and support of 3 junior staff
  • Analysis and reporting of existing applications
  • Involvement in Design and Architecture planning
  • Support and mentoring of 3 junior Developers

Essential Skills and Competencies:

  • Recent and solid experience of core Java Development
  • Good understanding of Web Services
  • Team Leading/Support experience
  • Agile and Scrum awareness

About the Company

This is an international company based very close to the centre of Glasgow. They are on a very large period of growth currently with a high number of projects and programmes underway requiring a large increase in staff numbers.

Salaries of 50,000 - 65,000 will be considered and come with some excellent benefits including but not limited to: 10% pension contribution, Life Assurance, Private Medial cover, holidays, childcare vouchers, cycle to work scheme, membership discounts and a minimum of 1 day per week working from home conditions.
