The Role

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engagement & Communications Partner to join Edinburgh Napier's Human Resources & Development Team. In this newly created role, you will deliver integrated engagement and communications campaigns and initiatives, creating a strategy that aligns with our Strategy 2020 objectives and supports an ambitious programme of growth and change. 

You will play a key role in making our staff feel informed, engaged, involved and valued. Through the development and delivery of a University wide staff engagement and communications strategy you will help to ensure our 1500 staff are fully engaged at every stage of our journey.

You will support the University Leadership Team to stay connected with staff, support large-scale change initiatives and strategic projects and provide expert guidance to a wide range of stakeholders. You will also possess excellent interpersonal skills generating trust and confidence among staff at all levels including senior management.

Who We Are Looking For

Applicants must demonstrate:

  • High level of oral and written communication skills with excellent editing and proof reading skills
  • Substantial evidence of specialist knowledge and ongoing education relevant to staff engagement and communication
  • Ability to think strategically and produce organisation wide engagement and communication plans, which clearly support University goals and priorities
  • Excellent advisory skills and confidence giving advice and information to senior managers on the full range of engagement and communications issues
  • Demonstrably strong customer service ethic with a willingness to think and work flexibly with colleagues in order to deliver the best solution
  • Understanding of digital technologies and social media used in internal communications and how to deploy them effectively
  • Self-motivated with the drive and perseverance to work on own initiative

Benefits We Offer

Salary: Grade 6: GBP 38,833 - GBP 47,722 per annum
