Due to continued success, our client is seeking Edinburgh-based financial planners to assist with developing its award-winning wealth offering further.

Extremely client-focused, this wealth manager offers market-leading financial advice through its highly skilled and qualified financial planners and evidence-based, scientific investment philosophy.

This highly reputable financial planning business focuses on quality and has invested in the latest software to aid its advisers’ service levels.

You will be fully supported in developing and achieving realistic and long-term business plans, providing an outstanding client service and an opportunity to progress your career further.

Key responsibilities

  • Offer holistic financial planning to prospective and existing high net worth clients
  • Work with professional introducers and alongside experienced paraplanners
  • Provide private client advice including; protection; investments including Direct/ISA/Onshore Bond/Offshore Bond/Structured Product/VCTs/EIS; pensions including PPs/Drawdown/Annuity/ SIPP/SSAS; IHT and Trust Planning
  • Provide corporate advice including; Group Risk, Group Pension, Auto Enrolment and Protection
  • Proactively keep up-to-date with new developments in the tax, legal and planning world
  • Plan and achieve long-term business plans
  • New and existing client development via the generation of referrals, running seminars, networking and forging relationships with local professional introducers
  • In-depth reviews of clients' financial circumstances, current provision and future aims
  • Complete risk analysis and design financial strategies

The successful candidate

  • Ideally a Chartered Financial Planner with over five years’ experience providing holistic advice to high net worth clients
  • Those who have achieved the CII Diploma in Financial Planning or Diploma Level 4 in Regulated Financial Advice or equivalent will also be considered but will need to demonstrate a background in complex financial planning
  • Inherently client focused
  • A track record in business development with a large network of clients and introducers
  • Keen to develop oneself and the business further
  • Technically gifted with excellent analytical skills
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills with an engaging personality
  • Commercially astute with an entrepreneurial flair
