Role

A Legal Secretary is required to join our busy Law Firm in Glasgow City Centre. Candidates must have good communication skills, be flexible and have a reliable and hard working attitude. Experience in Civil Litigation is essential. Also, experience in preparing and submitting CVLA & A&A Accounts to Scottish Legal Aid Board is highly desirable, however, training will be provided if required. As a Legal Secretary you will be expected to act as part of the administrative team and as such your job role may occasionally require you to help others complete their duties. You should be a people person that enjoys working within a team; alongside this you should have excellent ICT and typing skills. Working hours are Full Time between the hours of 8am – 6pm.

Duties include:-

•   Opening and closing client files.

•   Applying for expenditure and registering files on Scottish Legal Aid Board.

•   Preparing and submitting Accounts to Scottish Legal Aid Board.

•   Writing and dispatching routine or straightforward letters.

•   Maintaining records, filing systems and computer files.

•   Answering general queries by telephone, post or in person.

•   Diary and Email management.

•   Photocopying documents.

•   Assisting Solicitors and Office Manager as necessary.
