Job description:

Do you have experience of drafting contractual and legal documentation within your current or previous role(s) and are ready for a new challenge?

If so, a new opportunity has arisen with a prestigious global asset management firm in Edinburgh for a temporary assignment of 50 weeks.

Core requirements:

  • Asset management or financial services experience and experience of drafting contractual documentation
  • Relevant legal qualification (desirable not essential)
  • Experience of contract management and negotiation
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation and presentation skills
  • Exemplary analytical, communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

Core responsibilities:

  • Accurate drafting, negotiation and co-ordination of contractual documentation
  • Facilitation and co-ordination of internal stakeholders involved in the contracting process, ensuring their comments flow through to the contract and requisite approvals are obtained
  • Negotiating client documentation within specified parameters, escalating legal and operational risk when necessary
  • Supporting the sales team with contractual documentation queries
  • Participating in research initiatives or projects that are requested by the sales, product or legal teams
