We require an enthusiastic individual to work within our Airdrie Office.  The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the running of this office.  Candidates must have good communication skills, be flexible and have a reliable and hard-working attitude.  Experience in preparing and submitting Criminal Legal Aid & Advice and Assistance Accounts to the Scottish Legal Aid Board is highly desirable, however full training will be provided if required.  Proficiency in MS Office, as well as excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills and a proven track-record of working autonomously and on your own initiative, are essential.

General office duties including reception, answering the telephone, filing etc. will also be required.

Working hours are full-time between the hours of 8.45 a.m. and 5.00 p.m., although part-time hours would also be considered.

Duties Include: -

  • Opening and closing client files.
  • Applying for expenditure and registering files with the Scottish Legal Aid Board.
  • Preparing and submitting accounts to the Scottish Legal Aid Board.
  • Writing and dispatching routine or straightforward letters.
  • Maintaining records, filing systems and computer files.
  • Answering general queries by telephone, post or in person.
  • Diary and email management.
  • Photocopying documents.
  • Assisting Solicitors and Office Manager as necessary.
