Our Consultancy client is going through a huge state of growth and as a result is now looking for multiple skilled Test Managers to join their team in Edinburgh.

As Test Manager you will gain exposure to multiple different projects and clients and have overall responsibility for the success of the test deliverables on their assigned project. The role involves quality management, test sponsorship, resource planning, test management and resolution of issues that impede the testing effort.

You will be responsible for:

* Creating or contributing to the creation of the Test Approach or Test Strategy

* Delivering to agreed time, cost and quality standards

* Creating time and resource estimates

* Creating or overseeing the quality production of all test artefacts including the Test Plan and Test Schedule

* Provide detailed status reports and MI

* Logging, highlighting and mitigation of risks and issues which may impact on the delivery schedule

* Creation and communication of Test Completion reports to project management and stakeholders

* Tracking and management of the progress of assigned work streams delivering into the project

* Provide relevant metrics and test information into the business sign off process

* Manage the day-to-day activities of assigned test resources, ensuring that test activities for the various workstreams are completed in accordance with the agreed schedule and to agreed quality standards

* Where relevant, engage specialists to support the development and implementation of new strategies. These include but are not limited to Automation, Non-Functional, Security, UX, Continuous Integration, DevOps etc.

Experience Required to carry the role out successfully is:

* Proven experience in a testing role

* Industry recognised test training and/or certification

* Experience in leading a team

* Stakeholder management experience

* Extensive experience of testing best practices and design techniques

* Experience in using different methodologies

* Industry recognised test training and/or certification

Desirable experience includes:

* Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline

* Practical experience in using a variety of test tools

* Experience of change management and code version control tools and processes

* Experience in a relevant business or technical role (preferably finance industry experience)

* Practical experience in performing Micro Services testing and adopting a Continuous Integration approach to delivery

* Practical experience in various methodologies and framework
