Private client law firm Pagan Osborne is beefing up its management board as part of a strategy to double in size over the next four years.

The legal, financial and property specialist has appointed Jaki Carnegie as operations director, responsible for finance, IT, business improvement and cashroom management.

"Jaki's first steps will be to promote the integration of the firm's legal and non-legal services, putting in place operational systems and processes whilst embedding corporate values, " the firm said.

Carnegie was formerly with the Lauder Group, the learning and business services operation surrounding Lauder College in Fife. In her first year as managing director of the business learning and conference centre in Dunfermline, she was credited with transforming the centre's financial performance.

Carnegie held the position of Assistant Principal at Lauder College when the group collected the Working Families/Lloyds TSB Scotland Scottish Employer of the Year Award. A non-lawyer, Carnegie joins Pagan Osborne chief executive, AlistairMorris, HR and organisational development director, Alison Denton, legal director, Alan Innes, and Matthew Gray, property director, on Pagan's management board.
