Brodie promoted at Grant Thornton in Glasgow

Grant Thornton in Scotland has promoted Stuart Brodie to director and head of VAT in Glasgow. The promotion comes as Grant Thornton increases its size and range of advisory services after the recent merger with RSM Robson Rhodes.

Brodie, who has an LLB and a diploma in legal practice, joined Grant Thornton in July 2004 after spending six-and-a-half years with Deloitte & Touche.

He has been responsible for growing the turnover of Grant Thornton's indirect taxation practice by more than 400%. Grant Thornton now has nine partners and nine directors based in Scotland. Across the UK, after the merger, Grant Thornton has 330 partners and 4500 staff.
